Privacy notice

Last updated: November 2026

1. Who we are

Nelson Asset Partners is a trading style of [Company name], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [Company name] to be confirmed). In this notice, "we", "us" and "our" mean Nelson Asset Partners. We are the controller of the personal data you provide through this website.

We are a paid referral partner. We introduce established businesses to our partner, a US-based AI data company that licenses internal company data for AI training.

2. What we collect

When you complete our qualifying form, we collect:

  • Your name, role, email address and, if you provide it, phone number.
  • Details about your company: name, website, country, sector, staff numbers and trading status.
  • General information about the systems your company uses, approximate volumes and years of history, and your answers to our fit-check questions.
  • Any further information you choose to add in free-text fields.
  • Your confirmations and consents, and the date and time you submitted the form.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, any of your company's actual emails, documents or records at this stage.

3. Why we use it and our lawful basis

We use your information to:

  • assess whether your company is likely to be a fit for our partner;
  • prepare a summary and, with your agreement, introduce you to our partner;
  • contact you about your enquiry; and
  • keep proper records of introductions we make.

Under UK GDPR we rely on:

  • Consent — for sharing your answers with our partner, which you give by ticking the relevant box on the form. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — for assessing your enquiry, contacting you about it and keeping business records. We have considered your interests and believe this use is reasonable and expected.

4. Sharing with our partner

With your consent, we share your form answers with our partner, an AI data company based in the United States, so it can assess fit. Our partner will act as a separate controller of the information it receives and will explain its own use of your data before any further steps.

We may also use trusted service providers, such as website hosting and database providers, who process data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Sharing your information with our partner involves a transfer to the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information for 24 months from your submission, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we need to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation. After that we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data (rectification);
  • ask us to delete your data (erasure);
  • object to our use of your data based on legitimate interests;
  • restrict our use of your data in certain circumstances;
  • receive your data in a portable format, where applicable; and
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to stored submissions.

9. Contact us

For now, the best way to contact us about your data or to exercise your rights is through our website form. Please note your request in the free-text field and we will respond within one month.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
